Fourth-year left side hitter Chris Towe notched 25 points in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22) victory over the No. 7 nationally ranked Windsor Lancers on Saturday night (Nov. 17).
TORONTO STATS: Towe led all players with 23 kills and two aces, while also adding four digs on the night. Third-year setter Jordan Figueira also shone in the victory, tallying 50 assists, eight digs and 5.5 points.
Three other Blues hit double digit points. Veteran outside hitter Alex Barnes notched 15 points off of 11 kills, three aces and one block, while also adding a game-high 13 digs. Rookie standout Evan Falardeau recorded 12.5 points and eight digs, while veteran middle Austin Valjas had 10.5 points in the win.
UP NEXT:Â The Blues are back in action next Friday, November 23 as they travel to North Bay, Ont., to take on the Nipissing Lakers. Opening serve is set for 8 p.m.
