The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team tied the Laurentian Voyageurs 2-2 in their regular season finale on Sunday evening (Oct. 21) at Varsity Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Laurentian was quick to get on the board as Evan Stronach scored in the fourth minute of the match to give them a 1-0 lead.
The score remained 1-0 until the 67th minute when the game found a new energy and senior striker Jack Wadden tied it up.
In the 84th minute, Michael Matic scored the go-ahead goal for the Blues, but in extra time, Augustus Oku slid one past Sebastian Sgarbossa to lock the score at 2-2.
The Blues finish the regular season with an 11-4-1 record, entering the OUA playoffs in third place in the OUA East division.
UP NEXT: The Blues will host the Voyageurs again in the first round of the OUA playoffs, this Wednesday night (Oct. 24) at 8:00 p.m. at Varsity Stadium.
