Varsity Stadium will play host to a rugby doubleheader this Saturday, September 30 as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues welcome the Brock Badgers to their home turf. 
 
Women kick off at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.
 
Currently in fourth in the OUA Russell division with a 1-2 record, the women's rugby team will be looking for their second win of the season after defeating the Warriors for the first time since 2011 earlier this season.

Second-year wing Khadi Dako has become a reliable offensive threat for the Varsity Blues scoring six tries through three games played, including two this past week in U of T's comeback effort versus Trent. Additionally, fellow second-year standout and 2016 OUA all-star Lauren Van Dyke has provided a strong inside presence in the Varsity Blues attack. 
 
Meanwhile, the Varsity Blues men sit in seventh place in the OUA with a 1-3 record. Toronto picked up their first win since 2011 in defeating the Trent Excalibur 22-20 just two weeks ago. A young squad, the Varsity Blues have received strong performances from sophomore Faiyaz Lokhandwala, third-year co-captains Robert Sommerhalder and Stephen Stothers-Robertson, and lone fourth-year veteran John Stewart.
 
Following action this weekend, the women's team will begin their playoff schedule, while the men will travel to Hamilton, Ont., to challenege the McMaster Marauders on Friday, October 6.
