The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's tennis team defeated the Brock Badgers 7-0 at UTSC on Saturday, September 23.
Rookie Mara Stroe led U of T once again with strong wins at the No. 1 singles and doubles spots. In doubles, she teamed up with another rookie Milena Music to earn the victory.
Wins were also recorded in singles by fellow rookies - Samar Qaedizadeh, Salma Dessouki and Azel Mulagulova. Veterans Cecelia Pye and Olga Borissenko also notched a win in singles category.
The Blues return to action tomorrow (Sept. 24) as they host McGill at noon.
