The University of Toronto Varsity Blues Men's tennis team extended their undefeated start to the 2017 season by dropping the always strong Western Mustangs 5-2 on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 16) at the Western campus.
Some entertaining and close doubles matches, won 2-1 by Western, started off the match before strong singles play from Andrew Bourne-Kaponeridis with the first straight sets win led the way for U of T. This was followed by Toronto No. 1-4 wins in close three set matches.
The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow (Sept. 17) at UTSC versus the McMaster Marauders.
