NO. 3 BLUES BLANK EXCALIBUR

Box Score Team co-captain Lukas MacNaughton scored twice to lead the No. 3 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team to a dominant 4-0 victory over the Trent Excalibur on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 16) in Peterborough, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 6-0-1 and remain atop the OUA East division standings.
 
MacNaughton opened the scoring in the 13th minute and added his second of the game four minutes later to give the Blues an early cushion.
 
Jae Jin Lee, a third-year striker and Waterloo Warriors transfer, notched his second goal of the season in the 46th minute and veteran striker Russell Rodrigues rounded out the scoring with his first goal of 2017 in the 81st minute.
 
Third-year goalkeeper Stefan Dusciuc made three saves in the clean sheet victory.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow as they host the Carleton Ravens at Varsity Stadium. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m.
