LACROSSE WINS SECOND STRAIGHT ROAD GAME

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team traveled to Wilfrid Laurier University on Saturday, September 16 where they picked up their second consecutive win to open the season defeating the Golden Hawks 10-8. 
 
Toronto scored the first five goals on markers by Jason Barnable (2), Andrew Masson (2) and Jackson Hickey.

Laurier finally scored at 8:55 of the second quarter, their only goal in the first half.

U of T scored just before the break when attack Darren Elliott found the back of the net making it a comfortable 6-1 Toronto lead. 
 
Laurier came on in the second half, outscoring the Varsity Blues 7-4.

Freshman Jackson Hickey counted his second and third goals of the contest in the second half. Hickey now has two consecutive three goal games.

Also scoring were attack David Delle Fave, with his first of the season, and Barnable with his third of the game.

The Blues have little time to rest folowing the strong offensive shoing as they welcome Brock to Varsity Stadium tomorrow evening. Action begins under the lights at 7:30 p.m.
