The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's tennis team fell 6-1 to the York Lions on Sunday, September 10 at York University.

Playing in the No. 1 doubles match, rookie Mara Stroe, and fellow rookie Jasmine Nguyen, won 8-4. Stroe went onto win the No. 1 singles match 8-6. Good efforts were put in by their Blues teammates, who fell to the Lions in all the other matches.

 The Varsity Blues are back in action next Saturday, September 16 at the Western University campus. The Blues then host the McMaster Marauders on Sunday, September 17.
