ROOKIES SHINE IN WIN OVER EXCALIBUR

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team notched their second straight win, defeating the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-17) on Friday, February 10 in Peterborough, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 6-7 and sit in fifth place in the OUA East division.
 
First-year outside hitter Alex Barnes led all players with 17 points on 13 kills, three aces and one block.
 
Sophomore Zach Albert tallied 10.5 points on eight kills, two aces and an assisted block. Nicholas Trewern had a game-high six digs, while fellow rookie Jordan Figueira recorded 22 assists in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action on Sunday (Feb. 12) as they travel to take on the York Lions. Opening serve is set for 4 p.m.
