BADGERS HAND BLUES FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey fell to the Brock Badgers 1-0 on Saturday, November 4 at Varsity Arena.
 
The loss ends the Blues four game winning streak and puts them at 4-0-1-0 (W-OTW-L-OTL) in their season thus far.
 
Seven minutes into the first period, Brock got on the score sheet first after Christina Ieradi buried a rebound in front of the net.
 
The second period saw tight back and forth action between the two teams, with both goalies standing tall.
 
U of T had a great chance midway through the third period. Meagan O'Brien rushed into the zone and took a shot and Kassie Roache jumped on the rebound, but couldn't get the puck past Badgers goalie Jensen Murphy, who ultimately earned a shutout.
 
Toronto rookie netminder Madeline Albert posted 26 saves in the loss.
 
The Blue and White are back in action this Thursday, November 9 as they host the Ryerson Rams for their annual School Day game at Varsity Arena. Puck drops at 11 a.m.
