ROOKIES LEAD THE WAY OVER WESTERN

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team notched their fourth straight win, defeating the Western Mustangs 2-1 on Friday, November 3 in London, Ont.
 
First-year forward Louie Bieman scored the game-winner 2:07 into the third period, burying a Stephanie Ayres rebound off of a faceoff.
 
The Blues opened the scoring on the powerplay at the midway point of the first period. Rookie forward Adrianna Noble scored her first career goal as a Varsity Blue, burying her own rebound on the powerplay. 
 
Western evened the game just over three minutes later though as Shana Alexander scored an unassisted, short-handed marker.
 
First-year Blues netminder Madeline Albert posted 28 saves in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action tomorrow night as they host the Brock Badgers at Varsity Arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
