The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's Lacrosse team traveled to Guelph, Ont., on Sunday, October 22 for a matchup with the Guelph Gryphons, falling by a final score of 18-5 in the regular season finale.
Guelph led 4-1 after the first period and 7-3 at the half. Toronto goals were scored by attack Jason Barnable (2) and freshman Jackson Hickey.
Guelph scored six more times in the third quarter to only one marker for Toronto on Hickey's second of the game. Score after three was 13-4 in favour of the Gryphons.
Five more Gryphons goals sealed the deal in the fourth. The Blues lone goal of the quarter being scored by Darren Elliott.
The Blue and White will look to rebound next Saturday, October 28 in first round playoff rematch with the Gryphons in Guelph. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
