The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team traveled to Brock University on Saturday, October 21 to play the CUFLA West Division leaders and undefeated Badgers, dropping a lopsided game, 30-5.
The Blues kept it relatively close in the first quarter with Brock leading 5-0 after one.
However, Toronto was once again playing without defensive stalwarts Zach Holmes and Joe Pendleton, and the defence started to wear down in the second quarter. Despite some excellent saves by goalie Riley McGillis and close defence by pole James Keane, the Badgers pulled away with eight goals to three for Toronto, making it a 13-3 deficit at the half. Blues goals were scored by attack Jason Barnable, Darren Elliott, and David Delle Fave.
The second half saw more of the same with Brock scoring 17 more goals to two for U of T. Toronto's second half goals were scored by Barnable and Elliott.
U of T returns to action on Sunday, October 22 when they play the Guelph Gryphons at 1 p.m in Guelph, Ont.
