BLUES HOST GAELS SATURDAY AT VARSITY STADIUM

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues football team looks to end their season on a high-note as they host the Queen's Gaels on Saturday, October 21 at Varsity Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Advanced tickets are on sale here. The game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

The Blue and White will honour their graduating senior players in a special pre-game ceremony.

Toronto looks to play spoiler to the Gaels playoff hopes, with Queen's in a three-way battle for the final OUA playoff position.

Defence will be crucial as the Gaels have averaged 58 points per game over their last three wins. Defensive halfback Nick Hallett, along with linebacker Paul Kozachuk have been a disruptive force all season long and their tackling prowess will be instrumental to the Blues success this weekend. Hallett currently ranks fourth in the OUA in tackles per game, averaging eight through seven games played. Meanwhile, Kozachuk has come on as of late, recording 26 of his 40 total tackles this season over the last three games for the Blues, including 12.5 in last weekends road battle with the Carleton Ravens.

Offensively, first-year wide receiver Will Corby has shined, leading all OUA rookie receivers with 375 yards on 25 receptions, scoring two touchdowns. Corby's production has seen a spike over Toronto's last three games, recording 17 receptions, while averaging 78 yards over that stretch. The Burlington, Ont., native ranks 19th in the OUA in receptions, 14th in total yards, and ninth in average yards per catch (15.0).
