The Varsity Blues will rely on an 'offence by committee' mantra to fill the void of graduating 2016-17 leading scorers Taylor Day and Kristi Riseley.
"We have a great group of first-year players," said Vicky Sunohara, now in her seventh season as Blues bench boss. "They have all had great training camps and shown well in our exhibition games. I'm excited for the immediate impact that they will make this season."
The Blues will look to returning veterans Kassie Roache, Megan O'Brien, Lauren Straatman and Jessica Robichaud to step up and lead a young forward contingent.
First-year forward Louie Bieman has displayed the leadership qualities of a seasoned veteran, while NCAA transfer Breanna Berndsen and rookie forward Laura Ellis have also turned heads in September.
Toronto's blue line will be bolstered by team captain Rebecca Bourgeois and 2016-17 OUA first team all-star Cristine Chao, while rookie Gabrielle De Serres is expected to make an immediate impact as well.
Between the pipes, the Blues add Toronto Junior Aeros standout Madeline Albert to bolster a veteran goaltending group, featuring Valencia Yordanov and Katey Teekasingh.
