The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's tennis team finished their regular season with a 5-2 win over the Montreal Carabins today (Oct. 1) at UTSC.

Samar Qaedizadeh led the way with strong singles and doubles wins at the No. 2 spots. Other singles wins were recorded by Alara Demirag, Salma Dessouki, Jasmine Nguyen and Milena Music. The Blues will finish off the season with a respectable third-place finish going into the championships.

The Varsity Blues host the OUA tennis championships, October 6-8, at the Mayfair Parkway Racquet Club in Markham. Matches will start on Friday. A full championship preview will be posted this week.
