The University of Toronto Varsity Blues football team heads to Windsor, Ont., for a battle with the Lancers this Saturday, October 1 at Alumni Stadium.

The Blues and Lancers are deadlocked with a 21-21-0 head-to-head record since their first meeting in 1973. Toronto notched their first win over Windsor since 2001 last season, a low-scoring 8-7 affair.
 
Both teams have registered one win, with Toronto defeating York in Week 4 and Windsor upsetting Guelph in Week 2 of OUA football action.
 
Fifth-year quarterback Marcus Hobbs will look to shine against a Windsor defensive corps that has allowed an average of 418.5 passing yards per game so far this season. His favourite target has been fellow veteran Rahul Madan, who ranks fifth in the OUA with 421 receiving yards in five games.
 
Toronto's defensive corps has been working by committee, with veteran linebackers Brittley Mokube and Adrian Bernard leading the way with 25 and 28 tackles, respectively.
 
Rookie Jalen Brady and veteran Casey Wright have been splitting quarterback duties for the Lancers, but the player to watch out for is fifth-year running back Tarrence Crawford. The Windsor, Ont., native ranks fourth in the OUA with 445 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season.
 
First-year linebacker Daniel Metcalfe leads the OUA, averaging 8.5 tackles per game, while veteran Frank Renaud sits seventh in total tackles with 31.5 this season.
 
Following Saturday's tilt in Windsor, the Blues return home to host the Laurier Golden Hawks in the Turkey Bowl on Thursday, October 6 at Varsity Stadium. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
