BLUES SUFFER SEASON-ENDING LOSS IN LONDON

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team's season came to an end following a 91-51 loss to the Western Mustangs in OUA playoff action on Wednesday night (March 2) in London, Ont.

Fifth-year forward and co-captain Abena Addo led the Blues with 14 points and four rebounds in her final game in the Blue and White.

Third-year guard and Blues leading scorer Rahshida Atkinson notched 12 points and a team-high six boards, while Diedre Edwards and Maddy Baker each chipped in with five points in the loss.

As a team, Toronto shot 26% from the floor, compared to Western's 52%. The Mustangs held a hot hand from beyond the arc, going 12-for-21 on the night.

The Mustangs came out strong and did not let up through 40 minutes of action. Western got out to a 57-20 lead, going 10-for-15 from three-point land in the first half. Meredith McLeod drained five three's and was 7-of-7 from the field after 20 minutes of action.

McLeod led all players with 26 points, while adding four steals and three assists. Caroline Wolynski had 17 points and six assists in the victory.
