ROAD WOES CONTINUE FOR BLUES

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 18-9 Saturday afternoon (Oct. 8) against the Western Mustangs in London, Ontario.

Falling behind 5-1 in the first quarter, Toronto found themselves playing catch-up for the remainder of the game coming to within two goals of the Mustangs early in the second before Western was able to pull away.

Offensive standouts Mitch De Snoo and Jason Barnable once again delivered strong performances each putting up five points in the contest. De Snoo earned his five with two goals and three assists while Barnable snagged four goals and one assist.

First-year Justin Morandin also scored twice with fellow rookie Nick Mashin rounding out the goal scoring with one.

The Varsity Blues will remain on the road as they next challenge the 1-7 McMaster Marauders next Friday, October 14. Toronto holds a 12-5 victory over the Marauders earlier this season and will look to duplicate that next weekend as the Blues search for their first road win of the season.
