The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team closed out their 2016 campaign with a 20-12 CUFLA playoff loss to the Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 29) in London, Ont.
 
Trailing 16-3 at halftime, the Blues outscored Western 9-4 in the second half, but were unable to complete the come back.
 
Second-year middie Jason Barnable led the Blues with five goals, while seven other Blues notched single tallies. Liam Ellis, Alex Emerson, Mitch De Snoo, Marc Santos, Justin Morandin, John Browne and Owen Farnworth all scored in the loss.
