BLUES END SEASON WITH CLOSE BATTLE WITH WATERLOO

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's rugby team ended their season Sunday afternoon (Oct. 23) with a close 28-15 road loss against the Waterloo Warriors.

Third-years Avery Neal and Jack Davidson scored tries for the Blues while fellow third-year Scott Maguire kicked a convert and penalty goal in the final game of the year.

Maguire finishes the season tied for 10th in OUA scoring having recorded 32 points on two tries, five converts, and four penalty goals.

Despite ending their season with an 0-8 record the Varsity Blues showed improvement throughout 2016 including registering 91 points this season, a team-high for offence that hasn't been reached in over a decade.
