LIONS EDGE BLUES IN THREE CLOSE SETS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team fell 3-0 (22-25, 17-25, 22-25) to the York Lions on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 17) at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 7-5 but remain in fourth place in the OUA standings.

Third-year right side hitter William Colucci led the Blues with 14 kills, one block and seven digs, while Zia Karim had five kills and two blocks.

Rookie libero Andrew Kos led all players with 12 digs, with Aleksa Miladinovic tallying 20 assists in the loss.

Second-year outside hitter Tyler Covach led all players with 16 points and 10 digs for the Lions.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, January 23 as they travel to Waterloo to take on the Warriors (4-8). The game will be streamed live, starting at 8 p.m.
