The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team host the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, January 16 at Varsity Arena.
The puck drops at 4 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale at varsityblues.ca/tickets and the game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
The Blues are 6-2-3-1 (W-OTW-L-OTL) and sit in fifth place, just four points out of second in the competitive OUA standings.
Toronto looks to bounce back to early-season form, which saw them win their first seven games. U of T is coming off two narrow road losses at Nipissing and Laurentian last weekend.
Fourth-year forward Taylor Day leads the Blues and ranks second in the OUA with 15 points in 14 games. She and linemate Sonja Weidenfelder shared the team scoring lead with eight goals apiece, while team captain Kristie Riseley ranks fourth on the squad with 11 points.
First-year netminder Valencia Yordanov has started in 10 games, holding an impressive .934 save percentage.
The Gryphons are 9-3-2-1 and sit atop the OUA standings. They are coming off two victories over the York Lions and Laurier Golden Hawks last weekend.
Forward Averi Nooren leads the OUA with 10 goals and six assists for 16 points, while Kelly Gribbons has notched 14 points in 15 games so far this season.
Goalie Valerie Lamenta ranks third in the OUA with a .961 save percentage over 12 starts this season.Â
