The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team defeated the CIS defending champion Western Mustangs 3-2 in overtime in exhibition action on Saturday evening (Sept. 26) in London, Ont.

First-year forward Jessica Robichaud of Whitby, Ont., netted the game-winner in 4-on-4 overtime.

Katherine Gale, a third-year forward from Crowthorne, England, scored to force overtime, while third-year defenceman Autumn Garnham notched the Blues first goal of the game.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, October 3 when they host the CWHL's Brampton Thunder at Varsity Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
