LAKERS SINK BLUES ON THE ROAD

Box Score The No. 10 University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team dropped a 1-0 decision to the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday night (Feb. 7) in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 15-4-3 but remain in a three-way tie for second place with the Guelph Gryphons and Queen's Gaels.
 
Nipissing's Carley Marchment scored the game's lone goal, unassisted, 8:18 into the second period.
 
Blues netminder Katey Teekasingh made 12 saves, with Lakers goalie Jacqueline Rochefort posting 19 saves in the shutout victory.
 
The Varsity Blues look to bounce back tomorrow as they head to Sudbury, Ont., to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
