MEN’S RUGBY FALLS TO MUSTANGS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's rugby team dropped an 83-10 decision to the Western Mustangs on Friday night (Oct. 9) at Varsity Centre.

The Blues opened the scoring off a Tudor Chirila penalty goal 1:38 into the game. Western took a commanding lead with seven tries to take a 47-3 lead into halftime.

With Western leading 71-3, Toronto's Paul Ciulini scored a try and Scott Maguire successfully converted but that was all that U of T could muster in the loss.

The Varsity Blues return to action on Saturday, October 24 when they head to Kingston, Ont., to take on the Queen's Gaels. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
