The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team won their season finale 18-11 on the road over the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.
After falling behind 5-4 in the middle of the second quarter, standout attacker Mitch de Snoo scored on the power play to begin a four goal run for U of T to end the first half up 8-5.
Another four goal streak to open the second half assisted the Blues in pulling away and securing the victory.
De Snoo led all scorers with five goals and an assist. Veterans AJ Masson and Marc Santos each scored three goals, with Masson also chipping in three assists. Rounding out the scoring for the Blues was a group of young talent in Jason Barnable, David Delle Fave, John Browne, Zach Holmes, David Berta, and Kaden Jackson.
Connor Bullock led the way for the Golden Hawks finishing with four goals and two assists while fellow attacker Danton Miller collected three goals and two assists.
With a strong young core emerging late in the season the Varsity Blues enter the off-season filled with optimism as they prepare to take another step forward come the fall of 2016.
