The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 14-10 to the Guelph Gryphons on Friday, October 9.

Veteran attackers Mitch De Snoo and A.J. Masson led the Blues with four goals apiece, while Marc Santos and John Browne each added a single tally in the loss.

With Guelph leading 4-2 after the first quarter, the Blues attempted to rally, bringing the game within one (5-4) before three Gryphons goals gave them an 8-5 lead at halftime.

The Gryphons added two in the third quarter and despite a late push, including four goals in the last five minutes, the Blues were unable to complete the come back.

The Varsity Blues are back in action this Saturday, October 17 when they host the Nipissing Lakers at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
