MEN'S HOCKEY FALLS TO MANITOBA

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 4-0 to the Manitoba Bison on Saturday, September 20 at Varsity Arena.

Manitoba opened the scoring with less than five minutes to go in the first period, with a goal from Shaq Merasty. Merasty added to the Bisons lead midway through the second and the visiting team carried the two-goal advantage into the final frame.

Rene Hunter and Jesse Paradis rounded out the scoring with two goals in the third period.

Blues netminder Brett Willows made 32 saves in the loss. 

The Varsity Blues return to the ice on Wednesday, September 24 as they travel to take on the York Lions in pre-season action. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
