The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's water polo team defeated the McMaster Marauders 18-4 on Saturday afternoon to advance to tomorrow's gold medal game at the 2014 OUA championships in Ottawa.
Tied 2-2 after the first quarter, Toronto exploded for eight goals in the second quarter to put the game away for good.
The Blues will play the Carleton Ravens, who defeated Ottawa 13-7 in the other semifinal, in tomorrow's final at 11:10 a.m. The two teams have met in five of the last six OUA finals, with U of T holding a 4-2 advantage.
It marks the seventh consecutive OUA final appearance for the Blues as they vie for their ninth title in the last 13 years.
