MUSTANGS COME FROM BEHIND TO DEFEAT BLUES

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues travelled to London, Ontario on Friday evening to take on the Western Mustangs. The Mustangs walked away with a 12-7 win over the Blues in CUFLA action.

Toronto dominated the first quarter, scoring four goals to the Mustangs two. Goal scorers Michael Buwalda (Toronto, Ont.), AJ Masson (Newmarket, Ont.), and Marc Santos (Toronto, Ont.) gave U of T the early lead.

Blues midfielder, Jordan Robertson (Toronto, Ont.) provided the only offence of the second quarter with an unassisted goal.

Western came back from a three goal deficit and retaliated with 10 goals in the second half of the game. Mustang attacker, Ryan McCrory had the bulk of the goals for Western with three in the match. Buwalda and Masson buried one a piece in the second quarter, but it wasn't enough to overtake the Mustangs.

The Blues will look for retribution as they face the Mustangs at 5pm on Sunday, October 5 at Varsity Centre.
