The fourth-seeded University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team is set to face the third-place Guelph Gryphons in CUFLA playoff action on Sunday, November 2.
The two teams did not meet in regular season play this fall, due to a Guelph forfeit in their scheduled season opener.Â
The Varsity Blues are led by fifth-year attacker Michael Buwalda, who had 40 goals and 13 assists in 11 games for Toronto, and fourth-year midfielder Jordan Robertson who added 34 goals and seven assists.
The bulk of the Gryphons offence has come from Curtis Knight with 29 goals and 21 assists, and Ryan Serville with 31 goals and 10 assists.
The winner of this playoff match-up will continue on to compete in the 2014 Baggataway Cup in Oshawa, Ontario from October 31 - November 2, 2014.
