The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team travelled to Waterloo, Ontario to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday, October 11. The Blues dominated the match and headed back to Toronto with a 14-3 win.
A number of Blues had impressive showings in the match, including the afternoon's point leader Michael Buwalda, who had five goals and two assists. Mike McKegney also stood out with five goals, while John Brown notched two goals, and AJ Masson and Marc Santos set up plays for three and two assists, respectively.
Toronto currently sits in fifth place in the CUFLA west with one game in hand.
The Varsity Blues next match up will be this Friday, October 17 as they host the Nipissing Lakers at Varsity Centre. In their previous meeting on September 14, the Blues defeated the Lakers 19-11.Â
