MEN’S LACROSSE EDGED BY GRYPHONS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 14-11 to the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday night (Sept. 28) at Varsity Centre.

Michael Buwalda, Ben Hayes and A.J. Masson led the Blues with three goals apiece, while Corey Wright and Justin Crofts had one each in the loss.

Guelph came out ready to go, building a 6-3 lead after the first quarter. U of T kept pace in the second quarter and trailed 8-5 at halftime.

Masson scored two goals in the third frame and the Blues came back to even the score at 10-10, but the Gryphons took over from there, outscoring Toronto 4-1 in the final frame to secure the win.
 
The Blues will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon as they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
