The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's tennis team defeated the Western Mustangs 4-3 on Sunday, September 22 at U of T's Scarborough Campus.

The Blues took all three doubles matches, winning 8-5, 8-3 and 8-7 in the No. 1-3 positions, respectively.

Steffi Wong won in the No. 2 singles position, 6-0, 6-1, while Helen Goreski took the No. 4 match 6-3, 6-4. Veteran Cecelia Pye secured the team victory in the No. 5 singles spot.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action this Saturday, September 28 as they host the Montreal Carabins at UTSC.  Matches are set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
