The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's cross country team earned bronze, while the men placed fifth at the 2013 OUA championships on Saturday, October 26 in Hamilton, Ont.

Toronto's women finished with 89 points, seven points behind the silver medalist Western Mustangs (82). The Guelph Gryphons successfully defended their team title with 25 points on the day.
Veteran Colleen Hennessy was the first Varsity Blue to cross the 6km finish line, placing 11th overall in a time of 22:53.0. Teammate Charlotte Marcotte-Toale was right behind her in 12th with a time of 23:01.7. The duo earned OUA second team all-star status.
Honor Walmsley (23:35.5) and Claire Sumner (23:41.8) placed 19th and 21st, while Kelly Hennessy was 26th in a time of 23:49.1.
The Blues men placed fifth overall with 158 points. The Gryphons swept the team titles, while McMaster placed second and Windsor third.
Alex Denault was the top Blues runner, placing 25th overall in the 10km race with a time of 34:58.6. Sacha Smart (35:09.1) and Jake Woloshyn (35:12.9) were not fair behind in 27th and 29th, respectively.
The Varsity Blues gear up for the 2013 CIS championships on Saturday, November 9 in London, Ont.Â
