The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 9-4 on Sunday, October 20 at Varsity Centre.

With the win, the Blues end the regular season with a 4-8 record and in fifth place in the CUFLA West division. The Blues will take on the Western Mustangs in playoff action next weekend (Oct. 27-28) in London.

Fourth-year veteran Michael Buwalda (Scarborough) led the Blues with five goals and one assist, while Justin Crofts had three goals and one assist on the day. Eric Shedlosky also had a single tally in the win.

Tied 1-1 after the first quarter, the Blues outscored the Voyageurs 4-1 in the second to take the lead for good. Four unanswered goals in the third quarter sealed the deal en route to the 9-4 win.
