The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's water polo team kept its undefeated season going against OUA competition by beating the visiting McMaster Marauders 16-7 on Friday night at Varsity Pool.
Â
The game was the second half of a back-to-back home and home series.
Â
The Blues began the match lethargically and McMaster surprised by jumping out to a quick 2-0 lead. But the Toronto boys bore down and scored nine unanswered goals to go up 9-3 at the half.Â
Â
The Blues lengthened the lead to 13-4 at the end of three quarters.
Â
The game was far less physical than the game earlier in the week at McMaster as the Blues rotated two powerful units to wear down the Marauders.
Â
Fifth year player Marko Brasic scored four goals to pace the Blues.
Â
Fellow fifth year players Alan Chung and Tuna Tali, senior Mike Chapman, and rookie Gorast Tasevski each scored twice with singles netted by fifth year players Tanner Regan and Luke Spooner, sophomore Matt Hart and rookie Liam Horrigan
Â
The Blues next host the Western Mustangs on Saturday at 1:30. Â Â
