Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey team defeated the Brock Badgers 2-0 on Sunday night (Oct. 13) at Seymour-Hannah Centre in St. Catharines, Ont.
With the win, the Blues improve to 3-1-0 and sit in a three-way tie for second place with the Guelph Gryphons and Western Mustangs.
After a scoreless first period, Alie Brind'Amour-McClure (Waterdown, Ont.) notched the eventual game-winner on the powerplay 6:32 into the second frame.
Her sister, Courtney Brind'Amour-McClure, then added her third goal of the weekend, and unassisted marker, with 4:04 to go in the second period.
Rookie goaltender Michaela Logan, starting in her first game as a Varsity Blues, made 20 saves in the shut out win.
The Varsity Blues return to action on Saturday, October 26 as they travel to Sudbury, Ont., to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
