The Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team dropped a 13-4 decision to the Brock Badgers on Saturday, September 15 in St. Catharines, Ont.
The loss leaves Blues 0-3 to start the season, while Brock sits atop the CUFLA West standings with a 2-0 record.
The Blues struck first with a goal from third-year middie Patrick Belisle (Regina); however Brock went onto score nine unanswered goals and held the 9-1 advantage at halftime.
Third-year attacked Lucas Wood (Perth, Austrailia) opened the second half with a U of T goal, with Brock only adding one themselves in the low-scoring third quarter.
The Blues notched two more in the fourth quarter, from Jordan Robertson (Toronto) and Jeremy Hayton (Stratford, Ont.), but it was too little, too late.
The Varsity Blues will look to bounce back tomorrow night (Sept. 16) as they host the Laurentian Voyageurs at Varsity Centre. Game time is 6 p.m.
