NO. 5 GAELS SHUT OUT BLUES

Box Score The Varsity Blues women’s hockey team fell 4-0 to the Queen’s Gaels on Friday, November 23 at Kingston Memorial Centre.
 
U of T drops to 8-5-1 but remains in sixth place, while the Gaels improve to 12-1-1 and move into sole possession of first in the OUA standings.
 
After a scoreless first period, the Gaels scored three second-period goals within a four-minute span to put the game out of reach. Queen’s added an empty-netter with 32 seconds remaining to round out the scoring.
 
Third-year goaltender Nicole Kesteris (Aurora, Ont.) made 31 saves in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action on Sunday, November 25 as they host the Ryerson Rams at Varsity Arena. The puck drops at 6 p.m.
