The Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team ended their 2012 season with a 14-8 loss to the Brock Badgers in CUFLA quarter-final action on Saturday, October 27 in St. Catharines, Ont.
 
The Blues finished the season with a 4-8 record in fourth place in the CUFLA West division, while the Badgers were 9-2 in third.
 
U of T opened the game on a hot streak, scoring three goals in the first 10 minutes of action. Brock answered back with three of their own and after the two teams exchanged tallies, the game remained deadlocked 4-4 after the first quarter.
 
The Badgers came out flying in the second, outscoring the visitors 5-1 to take a 9-5 lead into halftime.
 
Brock extended their lead further with three unanswered goals to start the second half; however, the Blues responded with two to make it 12-7 heading into the final frame.
 
Brock Kyle Davis notched his fifth and sixth goals of the game to put it away early in the fourth quarter.
 
Mike Ayotte led the Blues with four goals, while Michael Buwalda had one goal and three assists in the loss.
