BLUES DOWN MARAUDERS, FALL TO MUSTANGS

The Varsity Blues men’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to the Western Mustangs Sunday September 25 at U of T’s Scarborough Campus.

With the loss, the Blues fall to 2-3 on the season.

Stefan Srnic of Belgrade, Serbia, and Toronto native Arren Skandarajah defeated Western’s Robert Vincent and Tonohiro Ono in the number one and three positions, respectively, in straight sets to earn the Blues two points in singles play.

The Mustangs were led by Matthew Jaekel, and Thomas Young. Jaekel and Young  both won singles matches, and combined to earn Western’s deciding victory in doubles play.

The Blues return to action on Saturday, October 1 when they host the Université de Montréal at U of T’s Scarborough Campus. Game time is scheduled for 2 pm.
