STRONG FOURTH QUARTER PUSHES BLUES PAST GAELS

Tyler Weber scored five goals to lead the Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team to a 9-6 win over the Queen’s Gaels on Saturday, September 24 in Kingston, Ont.

Weber tallied three goals in the first half to help Toronto built a 5-2 lead at the midway point of the game. Will Dunlop and Jordan Robertson added single tallies in the first half.

The Gaels charged back in the third quarter and narrowed the gap to one heading into the final frame.

The Blues held strong and pushed forward with goals by Weber and Corey Wright in the early going.  Queen’s attempted to come back, but Daniel Fleming added an insurance marker and Toronto walked away with the three-goal victory.

The Varsity Blues return to the field tomorrow as they host the Carleton Ravens at Back Campus.  Game time is set for 2 p.m.
