FOURTH-QUARTER COMEBACK FALLS SHORT

The Varsity Blues men's lacrosse season came to an end with a 7-6 loss to the Carleton Ravens in CUFLA playoff action on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 29) at Varsity Centre.

Trailing 6-2 heading into the fourth quarter the Blues came back to bring the game within one.  Despite some last-minute chances to score, the Ravens held on for the win.

Carleton got out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter, but the Blues battled back with goals from Daniel Fleming and Tyler Weber in the second.  The Ravens would add one more before the half and held a 4-2 lead at the midway point of the game.

Carleton surged ahead late in the third quarter but a single tally from Will Dunlop would bring the game within three heading into the final frame.

After another Ravens goal, the Blues attempted to rally with three goals in less than three minutes to bring the game within one.  Despite their best efforts, Toronto was unable to solve Ravens goalie Kristoff Richard again.
