DUNLOP LEADS BLUES TO SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

Will Dunlop’s four-goal performance led the Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team to a 10-5 victory over the Trent Excalibur on Saturday, October 15 in Peterborough, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 5-3 on the season, and maintain a strong hold on third place in the East, two points back of Bishop’s in second place.

Dunlop, a product of Windsor, Ont., has put up eight goals in the past two games to help the Blues earn consecutive victories over Queen’s and Trent. He is now second on the team with fourteen goals on the season.

Toronto natives Daniel Fleming and Michael Buwalda had three-point nights in the win, while Tyler Weber added to his team-leading goal total, picking up two tallies to give him 22 on the season.

Trent’s Niall Caravello had four points (one goal, three assists), but it would not be enough to stop Trent from falling to 2-5 on the season.

The two teams will complete their home-and-home tomorrow night when they face-off at Varsity Centre. Game time is 6 p.m.
