STRONG SECOND HALF PUSHES REDMEN PAST BLUES

The Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team fell 12-3 to the McGill Redmen on Sunday, September 12 at Forbes Field in Montreal.

Connor Daly and Joncarlo Bairos got the Blues off to a good start with a goal apiece in the first quarter. Michael Buwalda would tie the game at 3-3 early in the second, but the Redmen took over from there.

McGill scored four unanswered goals to take a 7-3 lead into halftime and continued to hold U of T scoreless until the final whistle.

Noah Miller tallied a game-high four goals, while Jishan Sharples added three assists in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to the field next Saturday, September 18 when they take on the Carleton Ravens in the second annual Great Canadian LAX Bash at Lamport Stadium. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
