The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s rugby team fell 84-7 to the Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday, October 14 in Waterloo, Ont.

Despite a valiant effort, U of T was no match for the Warriors on this day. Mike DeVries (Stoufville, Ont.) scored the Blues lone try of the game with Benny Mak (Hong Kong) picking up the conversion.

Second-year Warriors fullback Richard Lebel (Waterloo, Ont.) led all players with two tries and 10 conversions for 30 points. Jeff Robinson (Mississauga, Ont.) and Luke Demeter (Aylmer, Ont.) each chipped in with two tries in the victory.

The Varsity Blues return to the field this Sunday, October 18 when they head to Guelph, Ont. to take on the Gryphons. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
