The Varsity Blues men’s rugby team fell 71-0 to the Western Mustangs at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus on Friday, October 9th.

It was a disappointing defeat for the Blues who were under a constant attacking barrage from the No. 2 team in the OUA. Western’s Conor Trainor (Vancouver, B.C.) contributed to most of the damage, scoring an impressive four tries for 20 points. Notably Simon Fader (London, Ont.) was the second highest scorer for the visiting Mustangs, landing two tries for 10 points.

Toronto is now preparing for their upcoming match at the University of Waterloo. The Blues take on the host Warriors on October 14th. Game time is scheduled for 4pm.
