The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s rugby team ended their 2008 season on Saturday, October 25, falling 70-3 to the Queen’s Gaels in OUA quarter-final action in Kingston, Ont.
The Blues were unable to hold off the Queen’s offensive onslaught. The first-place Gaels were led by Scott Kyle’s three tries for 15 points, while Chris Barrett, Ryan Kruyne and Graeme Whyte posted two tries apiece for the home team.
Benny Mak scored Toronto’s only points of the game on a penalty goal.
Toronto ends their 2008 campaign with a 1-6-0 record, recording their lone 19-0 win on September 13 against the Trent Excalibur.
